Explosive news: We've just won the 2010 Marketing Design Award for Customer Communications.

Lime is bursting with pride having just won an award for our ‘London's Hotspot : East London' campaign for London Thames Gateway Development Corporation (LTGDC).  We beat stiff competition from John Brown Media (for clients: Orange, John Lewis and Everest) and Imagination (client: Thames Reach) to win the prestigious award.

Summarised from the judges comments Andrew Graham Dixon said: "This time, it was, ‘a good concept, delivered well, creating high impact on a small budget’, that swayed the judges!"

“Small, boutique creative agencies like ours are always fighting their corner against the larger network agency domination.  But winning an award like this really begins to show how Lime is becoming a bigger fish in a shrinking pond and that larger corporates are seeking out the fresher, quirky, dedication offered by us smaller fry.” Abi Goldfinch, Creative Director, Lime Creative.

LTGDC needed a powerful brand message to promote East London and its investment and development opportunities - to put them region firmly on the map.  It had to be new and exciting and communicate that the area is the hottest place in London.  Lime produced the ‘London's Hotspot : East London' campaign to answer this demanding brief.  It was delivered through electronic and printed invites, mini pop-out brochures, stand display materials, themed menus and place cards, quirky branded gifts and a post-event direct email campaign. Together with LTGDC, Lime are now developing the Hotspot brand proposition to drive a huge place marketing programme for East London from 2011.

Patrick Edwards, Head of Communications, LTGDC commented:  “Lime is by far and away the most talented creative agency I have ever had the pleasure to work with. In both its output and approach, the team continues to impress, always exceeding expectations and gaining impact. They combine free, fresh and challenging thinking anchored by a firm understanding of client needs and professional know-how, resulting in creativity with a purpose that is always relevant and on brief. This award confirms that.".
